weekend the embarcadero northbound lanes one lane shut from washington to bay for bicyclists hoping that would eliminate bikes and pedestrians with all the events if you are coming to the city you might want to make alternate plans that will not be a good route. bart extra trains for the events this weekend. golden gate ferry added another giant boat for the giants' playoff game many muni as extra buses. pardon my voice i'm still a little shakey from the a's game the other day. we'll be back with more in a bit. a lot more on that coming up. if you are filling your gas this morning, bay area gas prices are leaping toward record levels. terry mcsweeney is live in menlo park with new numbers. >> reporter: they are saying we haven't seen nothing yet.

take a look at prices here at this gas station in menlo park many you can see the $5.05 for self-serve regular. lower right hand corner, $5.79 full serve supreme. if you want go that route, you can. folks, it is not this bad everywhere else but it is heading this way. take a look at some prices average prices around the bay area you see oakland $4.52. compared to the good old days of $4.34, the price yesterday. san francisco about the same, san jose at $4.53. wow! look at drivers, you know what they are going to be saying. experts say they are blaming it on the richmond fire also pipeline problems in southern california shortages around california. while the wholesale price has gone up a dollar a gallon you and me buying retail have only felt 30 cents of that so far

shown that he cares about 100% of americans. more in about 15 minutes. this morning the woman charged with ditching her daughter after a botched shoplifting attempt is sitting in santa clara jail this is marcy keelin's mugshot. cameras were rolling when she stepped out of a list car in san jose yesterday after being extradited from nevada where she had been hiding. investigators say she sped off leaving her 10-year-old behind after workers at a safeway store in morgan hill spotted them stealing. she faces burglary and child endangerment charges. is if expected to be over -- san francisco has several major events taking place, police will be patrolling all over they. they say you can take precautions against becoming a victim. ama daetz has more. >> reporter: san francisco is teaming with sailors, military

and on the other side of the bay around san francisco with lots of events. moraga teenager has gained thousands of supporters as he fights to become an eagle scout after being turned down because he's gay. the 17-year-old spent years earning badges and completed his final project to become an eagle scout but the boy scouts found out he is gay. a scout executive released a statement saying, ryan does not meet scouting's membership standard on sexual orientation a family friend is disappointed. >> to not get it based on a technical -- -- technicality that had nothing to do with his progress to get to this point is frustrating. >> his mom is trying to convince the boy scouts to change the anti-guy policy through a petition. the family plans to tell their story on national tv next week. in san jose a stolen puppy
